Halford finished his sophomore season at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) where he averaged 17.4 points and 4.5 rebounds per game and was selected first-team NJCAA All-American. Cougar Head Coach Dave Rose says, “[Halford] is coming off a superior sophomore season. …We are excited for the versatility he brings to our guard line.” Congratulations, Skyler! Enjoy BYU!

Casey Oliverson
We are extremely pleased and excited to announce that Casey Oliverson, an alumnus of Utah Pump-N-Run, has signed to play Division 1 basketball with the Thunderbirds at Southern Utah University! Oliverson played his freshman year at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC), where he averaged 8.2 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, helping bring the SLCC Bruins to a #5 national ranking. Thunderbird Head Coach Nick Robinson says, “Casey adds needed depth, athleticism, and versatility to our front court.” Quite the compliment! Enjoy Southern Utah, Casey.

Lew Evans
We are pleased to announce that Lew Evans, an alumnus of Utah Pump-N-Run, has signed a letter of intent with the University of Tulsa (TU). Evans is currently a freshman at Casper College in Wyoming. He will have three years of eligibility at TU. He also spent one year at New Hampton Prep in New Hampshire, where averaged 10 points and six rebounds per game. While on the 2010 Utah Pump-N-Run team, Evans helped knock off the #1 team in the country with the top ranked player at the time, current UCLA star Shabazz Mohammed. Tulsa Head Coach Danny Manning said, “His skill set fits into what we want to do as a basketball team.” Congratulations, Lew! Enjoy your time at the Universiy of Tulsa!

Quincy Bair
We are pleased to announce that Utah Pump-N-Run alumnus, Quincy Bair, has committed to play for the Westminster Griffins. Before committing to Westminster, Bair played for Utah State. He was also a member of the 2011 Utah Pump-N-Run team that advanced all the way to the semi-finals at the Adidas Super 64 tournament, beating several nationally recognized teams along the way including Atlanta Celtics, Michigan Mustangs, and Team Florida. Bair will join good friend and former Utah Pump-N-Run teammate, Jordan Pryor at Westminster. Bair’s athleticism brings him high potential to become a future all conference player. Congratulations, Quincy! We look forward to seeing you compete at Westminster!

Chris Melville
We are thrilled to report that Utah Pump-N-Run alumnus, Chris Melville, has committed via email to play for the Westminster Griffins when he returns from his mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 7, 2013. Melville was a member of the 2010 Utah Pump-N-Run team making it to the semi-finals at the Best of Summer Tournament. Melville led his 2010 Utah Pump-N-Run team in scoring. With an athletic body and natural talent, Melville will instantly be one of the best athletes at the NAIA level. His athleticism and potential level of play can be compared to Westminster alumn Ben Walker. Congratulations on your commitment to Westminster, Chris! We are eager to follow your career upon your return.

Austin Hudson
We are pleased to announce that Utah Pump-N-Run alumnus, Austin Hudson, has committed to play for the Westminster Griffins. Hudson has played for both Central Arizona and Western Wyoming College. In the spring of 2010, Hudson played for Utah Pump-N-Run, then later on that same year, he played with Salt Lake Metro. At only 19 years old, Hudson’s youth and big size will make him a rebounding and defensive force in the Frontier conference. Congratulations, Austin! Enjoy your time at Westminster. We look forward to following you as you play for the Griffins!
