Brandon Davies Preparing for NBA Draft

Name: Brandon Davies
Height: 6’10”
Graduation Year: 2009
High School: Provo
College: Brigham Young University

Brandon Davies, the 6 foot 10 inch Utah Pump-N-Run alum, has concluded his career as a forward for Brigham Young University (BYU) with major buzz, and talk of a bright future in professional basketball. After earning Most Valuable Player honors at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, many experts project Brandon as a late second-round pick when the NBA draft takes place June 27th.

Brandon attended the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago in May and he was recently one of 12 NBA prospects selected to do pre-draft workouts for the Utah Jazz. Brandon’s greatest asset is his versatility. His leaping ability makes him a threat as a rebounder and shot blocker, and gives him the ability to play above the rim. He also has speed not often seen in bigger players. With tremendous physical talent on his side, Brandon’s character also shines through. Tim LaComb, BYU Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach, says “Brandon is not only talented, he is a really good guy. He has great things in store for himself.”

Brandon’s time at Utah Pump-N-Run and BYU helped him build a foundation that will serve him well in his career. Coach LaComb notes, “Brandon has learned when and where to use his moves. With a lot of hard work and determination, Brandon has grown bigger and stronger, and he has gained an understanding of the game that will help him have staying power throughout his basketball career.”

We are proud to have Brandon as a member of the Utah Pump-N-Run family and we look forward to watching him as he enters the world of professional basketball.
