Coach Kahlil Sikander was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.  He was an All-City Basketball player in New York City which led him to the west to play basketball for Colorado Northwestern Community College and then on to Southern Utah University.  Coach Sikander has a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with a minor in Health Education.  He also has his Master's Degree in Education along with his Administrative Certificate.  He currently teaches Lifetime Activities and Fitness Courses at Westlake and Mountain View High School in Saratoga Springs and Orem, Utah.

Coach Sikander has had both experiences as a head coach as well as assistant coach at the high school level.  He was the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Lehi High School in Lehi, Utah for four years along with being a JV Coach.  As the Head Coach, he led the Lehi Girl's program to a region title, a quarterfinal and semifinal appearance in the state playoffs.  Coach Sikander then coached at Westlake for five years both as a JV and Assistant Head Coach.  Following that, Coach Sikander became an Assistant Coach at Pleasant Grove High School for a year.  He now coaches at Mountain View High School as an Assistant Varsity Coach.  Coach Sikander has 11 plus years as a high school basketball coach and has been very successful at all the school he has coached.  He has been a part of 6 state playoff teams out of the 11 years as a coach along iwth a region title and a 3rd place finish at state.  He has coached many collegiate players as well as players who are currently playing overseas.

He has been coaching travel ball for the past three years with a start at Utah Dream Vision 16U.  Coach Sikander then joined Utah Basketball CLub and was the Head Coach of the 16U Black team.  His team managed to win a consolation platinum bracket championship at the Northwest Premier Invitational. His team also managed a Sweet 16 berth in the prestigious FAB 48 Las Vegas tournament, losing to the eventual champion Earl Watson Elite.  Coach Sikander currently coaches the 17U Blue squad.  He has been coaching with UBC for the past two seasons and is proud to be a part of the UBC family.

Coach Sikander is married to Kim Sikander who is currently a teacher at Vista Heights Middle School in Saratoga Springs, Utah.  They have 4 children and, yes, they are all girls: Janiece (Neecy 6), Aaliyah (Liyah 5), Kiana (KeKe 3), and Jaylyn (Jazzy 1 mo.).  Coach Sikander loves playing with his kids and going on vacation with his wife.  He enjoys playing any sport, hunting, and fishing which is a big reason he has settled in Utah.
